What is a Cryosauna?
Treatments are completely safe, pain free and surprisingly comfortable! The cryosauna will expose your skin to temperatures below zero degrees Fahrenheit for 3 minutes or less. Your skin temperature will initially drop to 32 degrees before rising to 95 degrees for 30-45 seconds (normal skin temperature is 90.5 degrees) and then goes down to normal.
Exposing your body to the cold temperatures of a cryosauna will stimulate the natural responses of your body, resulting in significant long-term medical and cosmetic benefits. Not only is your immune system stimulated, but every organ in your body is affected positively.
The extreme cold exposure causes the body to turn up its metabolic rate in order to produce heat. This effect lasts hours after the procedure, causing the body to burn around 500 calories. After several procedures, the increase in metabolic rate tends to last longer between sessions.
The cold air activates an increased production of collagen in deeper layers of your skin, causing your skin to become smoother and more even-toned, regaining elasticity and significantly improving the overall condition of your skin.
Skin vessels and capillaries undergo severe vasoconstriction (to keep the core temperature from dropping), followed by vasodilation after the procedure. Toxins and other stored deposits are flushed out of the layers of the skin and blood perfusion is improved after several treatments.
Cryosauna therapy can lead to medication reduction due to your body's natural healing responses to the cryosauna. Think of it as a trigger that releases your body's own natural nutrients.
